This was one of the first photo-essays made after Robert moved to the UK, which he shot for the Weekend Telegraph. Carl was an excellent and very fit athlete but lacked a killer instinct. Robert was with him as he prepared for an important fight on his way to the championship. It was clear that he was very admired in his community.
