The Work of Monica Pagneux

Monika Pagneux, now semi-retired, was one of Europe’s leading exponents of movement in contemporary theatre. Her work is relevant for actors, musicians, dancers, yoga, Feldenkrais, Pilates, to other movement systems and to people working with children.
In this book and film, INSIDE/OUTSIDE, Monika offers an insight into her work and in particular how she uses clay modelling to help the workshop members understand their physicality and their life force. This is transformed into movement, sounds, words, music, actions and interactions resulting in the creation of scenes often producing stunning theatrical moments.
