To answer these questions these essays explore “what it is that besets you at the roots of your being and how, at those roots, the concept of the world and yourself have been manipulated and indeed stunted”.
Robert Golden believes that truth, beauty, love, knowledge and kindness are the basis of our humanity and therefore at the centre of true freedom and egalitarian democracy. Outstanding. Penetrating and insightful. Hits the root of the problem (a generation under-served by education, the economy and the popular culture) and “an expression of the new social order which fosters isolation and loneliness.” Now, how do we fix it?

This is brilliant. I read it again, so I could really get into all details and understand them. It is very inspiring, truthful, direct, but I couldn’t get over my thoughts that probably many will not like it, because it calls for critical thinking of the middle-class, which throws them out of their comfort zone.
